Thank you for your continued support working together as part of the Valley High School learning community. This January marks the registration process for student course requests next year. It is very important that parents and students make sound course request decisions for the following school year. Staffing and scheduling decisions are based on these requests providing the most opportunities for the students of VHS. Therefore, changes to these decisions will be extremely limited, protecting resources, class sizes and scheduling opportunities for all of our students. The Valley Curriculum Catalog will be online this year over Winter Break. If students have limited computer access, paper copies are available in the Counseling Center. Monday, January 12 marks Registration Planning Day. Seniors will not be required to attend, but will need to turn in Life After High School Planning Day Form to their Advisors on January 27. If there are any questions about this process, please contact Dr. Erika Cook at email@example.com.
Hard copies available in counseling center.

On January 12, 2015, the Valley sophomores, juniors, faculty and administration will be participating in Registration Planning Day. This day is dedicated for 2015-2016 course registration, helping students decide the most appropriate courses for which to register next year. If January 12 is a snow day, it will be on January 13.
Therefore, seniors do not need to attend school on January 12, 2015. Instead, they are to spend the day planning for life after Valley High School. Appropriate activities might include: writing college/job applications, visiting a school, or shadowing or interviewing a professional. All seniors will be automatically excused through Student Services.
To hold our seniors accountable that their time is being used wisely, we ask that they fill out the attached form and turn it into their advisors by January 27. These will be distributed in advisory. If they fail to do so, 5 suspension points will be added to their record. Thank you in advance for your support in helping our seniors plan their futures.

Information and Registration Form
Student athletes, it is never too early to get your physical, eligibility form and health/injury form turned in to the activities office if you are planning on participating in a winter sport (basketball, bowling, wrestling or boys swimming). All necessary forms are right outside the activities office or can be downloaded from the Valley website. Fall sport athletes can wait until their season is over before coming to the athletic office and switching paperwork.
Reminder: Your name will not be put on the roster until all paperwork is in!! Go to Infinite Campus and check your schedule. If the winter sport that you want to participate in is not on your schedule, you are not on the roster and you will not be able to practice. If you have questions, stop by the athletic office soon!!
The Valley Instructional Coaches have created a blog, Valley Tiger's Eye, that will be used to communicate what they see and do over the course of thew school year. They hope to give insigt as to what is happening in their classrooms and where they are headed. Be sure to take a look. Valley Tiger's Eye
